With proven diamond reserves that have provided the company sustainability for 25 years, Russian miner Alrosa adds another jewel to its portfolio. Estimated to be worth over $1.5 million, the miner has discovered a unique diamond that weighs 158.2 carats.
The exquisite rock surfaced at the company’s diamond-mining factory in north-east Russia, at the Nyurbinsk ore mining and processing enterprise in the Republic of Yakutia.

Soon to be up for auction, Alrosa claims that the diamond is capable of being broken down into multiple top quality diamonds, each individually having the ability to flaunt a price tag of several hundred thousand US dollars.
Accounting for about 28% of global production and 97% of diamonds in Russia, the company has given the world yet another priceless jewel—actually, pricey jewel is more like it.
